Leah wasn't too cooperative...she just wants to go go go!
The stairsteps. At one point on the vacation, Andy and I were with all four girls in the elevator. The man riding the elevator thought all four were ours...he looked much relieved (for andy) once hew found out that only two were ours. Four blond hair, blue eyed beauties. I am sure that is not the only time that people thought that all four were sisters.
Later that afternoon, we hit Old Orchard Beach. Funnel cakes, pickles on a stick, ice cream and carnival rides.
Teacups - they had it spinning fast at one point and the adults were very glad they were not riding along.
Andy took all three big girls on the ferris wheel. We could not decide who was braver...Andy for taking all three girls up in the air for a seemingly long period of time. Or Rick for taking all three girls to the bathroom after lunch.
Hannah is certain to be a roller coaster girl when she is tall enough. She loved the frog hopper (think demon drop for kiddos). Eliza wasn't letting go the first time but by the second ride...she was raising her hands up high too.
The girls also hit the carousel. It was Leah's first carousel ride...she was not a fan.
We ended the evening at the hotel with some swimming and room service. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite which was perfect. A bedroom/bathroom for each family and a common room with couch, tv, table for 8, mini fridge etc. After the girls went to bed, we were able to hang out and play cards.
The next morning we headed out to see some lighthouses. We started at Two Lights State Park. After a brief stop on the playground, an introduction to a bullfrog and a mini walk thru the woods, we ended up on the rocks. The rocks were amazing. They looked like old wood.
The girls gave an impromptu dance performance.
We then followed some directions to a lighthouse view and found a little beach to play on. The boys explored with Leah and the rest of us had fun searching for beach glass. We came home with quite the collections. This beach was right next to a restaurant that had been recommended to us...but it was only 10:30am so we drove on.
Our next stop was Portland Head Light - THE Maine lighthouse. My girls were sleeping so Andy stayed in the car while we got our for some quick photos.

Wonderful pictures. Makes me wish I were there. The lobster tray is my newest desktop....Yummmmmm!
Sounds like a great time! I love the idea of a 2-bedroom suite...that's something we need to keep in mind.
I'm so excited for our Maine vacation after seeing your photos. We're going to hit some of the same spots!
